Western Land Services

Deeper than a Brand Refresh

Western Land Services (WLS) has been bringing Land, Energy, and People together for more than 50 years. What began in the small town of Ludington has grown into a nationwide company serving clients across 49 states. With decades of history and a strong reputation, WLS entrusted us with the opportunity to lead a complete refresh and rebrand of the company.

This was not just a visual update. The project required us to honor the company’s rich history while creating a brand that resonates with modern audiences and reflects the company’s forward momentum. Once the rebranding was complete, our team expanded the scope to include all digital and print materials, the company website, and a library of high-level storytelling content that captures the heart of the WLS mission.

Our Strategy

Our objective was to create a brand that celebrated the legacy of WLS while positioning the company for continued growth and recognition nationwide. We knew the rebrand had to be more than a design refresh. It had to capture the company’s voice, culture, and vision for the future.

To achieve this, our creative and strategy teams:

  • Conducted interviews with employees, clients, and past executives to capture authentic stories and perspectives

  • Organized focus groups to understand audience perceptions and expectations

  • Performed a comprehensive competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation

Website Refresh

LFX and WLS took this vital opportunity to update their website after we locked in their new brand identify. Our goal was to create a comprehensive, modern website that improved usability, accessibility, and engagement to better serve their clients.
