Strengthening Communities
A website project that went beyond design and development. It was about telling stories that strengthen communities. In 2024, the Community Foundation for Muskegon County approached us after an educational workshop to discuss a potential website build. The project quickly grew in scope with the addition of their subsidiary, the Community Foundation for Mason County. This presented a unique challenge: building two large-scale, interconnected websites that would serve different communities while maintaining cohesion and alignment with each foundation’s mission.
Few partnerships are as rewarding as those with community foundations. These organizations touch countless lives through scholarships, nonprofit support, and grants. Creating digital platforms that reflect their impact was both an honor and a responsibility.

Our Strategy
The vision was to design websites for both foundations that were modern, engaging, user-friendly, and efficient. Each platform needed to work for multiple audiences, including donors, students, and nonprofit partners, while also providing streamlined tools for foundation staff.
To achieve this, our creative and strategy teams:
Conducted a full communication and brand audit for both foundations
Structured unique sitemaps that guided users directly to the information they needed, whether scholarships, grants, or community stories
Designed and developed two high-functioning websites that were accessible, visually compelling, and built for long-term growth
Produced high-quality video content to bring the foundations’ stories to life and highlight their impact in the community
The result was not just two websites but two powerful digital platforms that share resources, tell stories, and build stronger connections with the communities they serve.
